Managing Partner
Saddlebrook Capital, LLC

Rodrigo “Rod Jimenez is managing partner of Saddlebrook Capital LLC, a private family investment office. He arrived there after two decades building hotel technology companies, most recently as chief executive officer of Sceptre Hospitality Resources LLC (SHR), where more than 2,500 properties relied on the company for reservation connectivity, booking engines, customer relationship management, revenue management, and digital marketing.

Earlier in his career, Jimenez co-founded and led Whiteboard Labs LLC, an integrated developer of web-based software solutions, and its predecessor, Webvertising Inc. Under his leadership, Webvertising developed and commercialized iHotelier, a web-based central reservation system for the hotel industry, and sold it to TravelCLICK in early 2004.

At Whiteboard Labs, Jimenez oversaw the launch of multiple applications, including the Windsurfer CRS. In 2012, he led the company in forming SHR, a joint venture with Singapore-based City Developments Ltd. SHR became a Serent Capital portfolio company in March 2020 and later acquired Avvio Ltd., an Ireland-based provider of AI-enhanced booking engines and websites.

Before venturing into hospitality technology, Jimenez spent 10 years in banking. He served as vice president and client adviser in the international department of Chase Manhattan Bank, now JPMorgan Chase, in Houston, where he advised subsidiaries of multinational companies on corporate finance and investment banking matters. Prior to joining Chase, he worked for Bank of America’s Latin America division, where he managed a portfolio of assets worth more than $600 million.

Jimenez attended the Yale School of Management Global Leadership program in 2020 and participated in the financial management program at Stanford University in 1997. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing and a master of business administration degree in international business and finance from the University of Houston.

Jimenez has served as a director or adviser to several startups and local nonprofit boards. He enjoys reading, long-distance running, biking, and fishing.
