Provost Profiles: Biology Student Cole Woody Continues to Soar

Welcome to the latest edition of Provost Profiles! In this new video, you鈥檒l meet a legitimate Super Coog.

Cole Woody isn鈥檛 faster than a speeding bullet or able to leap buildings in a single bound, but the junior biology student in UH鈥檚 College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is doing truly tremendous work on campus and at the Texas Medical Center.

You may have seen the recent news that Woody is part of a research team at MD Anderson Cancer Center studying the COVID vaccine鈥檚 effects on cancer immunotherapy. He鈥檚 also been recognized with prestigious honors such as the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and the Phi Beta Kappa Key into Public Service. These are just a few of his remarkable undergraduate achievements!

Woody will be the first to admit that he鈥檚 no superhero, but his academic journey was inspired by a childhood interest in the 鈥淴-Men鈥 movies.

But don鈥檛 take my word for it! Hear from Woody himself in this month鈥檚 episode of .

Respectfully,

Diane Z. Chase
