TexFlex Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
TexFlex Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
TexFlex Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
TexFlex Flexible Spending Accounts allow eligible employees to set aside pre-tax money
to pay for qualifying health care, dental, vision, and dependent care expenses. By
using pre-tax dollars, participants may lower their taxable income and save money
on eligible expenses.
TexFlex offers three types of accounts:
- Health Care FSA: Helps pay for eligible out-of-pocket medical expenses, including copays, prescriptions,
glasses, contact lenses, and certain over-the-counter products.
- Limited-Purpose FSA: Helps cover eligible dental and vision expenses for employees enrolled in Consumer
Directed HealthSelect.
- Dependent Care FSA: Helps pay for eligible child and dependent care expenses, such as daycare, adult
day care, and day camps.
Participants can manage their accounts, submit claims, and request reimbursements
online or through the Inspira Financial mobile app. A TexFlex debit card is also available
for Health Care and Limited-Purpose FSA participants. Be sure to keep receipts and
supporting documentation for eligible expenses.
Each account has specific eligibility requirements, contribution limits, and rules
regarding available funds, carryover, and claim deadlines. Reviewing the plan details
before enrolling can help you determine which option best meets your needs.
