The statement of purpose should be written in Spanish and concisely (between 500 and 1000 words, typed, double space) explain:
- The field of specialization you are applying to (Literature, Linguistics or Lit-Ling).
- Your objectives for pursuing graduate studies and for your professional future.
- Your research interests and how can they be connected to our department.
- Your academic background, experience in the field and any other information that you might consider to be relevant to your application.
Remember that this is a presentation for an academic position, so the tone and content must remain professional and focused, for example, avoid using avoid sentences like: : 鈥淚 love Spanish because it is a very musical language鈥� or 鈥渕y grandma used to tell me stories that鈥︹��, etc.
